Editor,
The ladies of Whidbey Golf are again blessed by many businesses of Oak Harbor and beyond. Our 42nd Annual Whidbey Ladies Invitational was held June 23-24 at Whidbey Golf Club.
What a fun two-day event it was. There are many people who step up each year and make this huge event possible and without them it would not be the success it has been year after year.
Numerous businesses were most generous. They were: Gerald’s Jewelry, 7-Eleven,Tradewdinds, P&L Contractors, SaviBank, Mountain Mist, Edward Jones, Whidbey Seatac Shuttle, Tod Melnick and sons Painting, Heritage Bank, and John and Diane Geragotelis. We thank them for their kindness and generosity.
Our maintenance and grounds crew had our course looking like a lush green carpet out there. Lots of hard work by our greens superintendent, Oly, and his hardworking men. Thank you!
The staff in the pro shop deserves a huge thanks, especially our pro, David Phay, and employees. It’s not an easy job organizing 75 women for two days straight.
Once again Oak Harbor businesses are generous and we, the ladies of Whidbey Golf Club love you all.
