Boat launch

On Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, the Coupeville Boat Launch will be bustling with activity.

Town Council approved an event permit for a small regatta as a new kick off to Race Week.

Around 50 small dinghies are expected to participate and will launch from the town boat launch.

Prior to approving the permit, town council members ensured the event would not close the boat launch to the public, especially crabbers.

Event participants will launch and then take vehicles and trailers to a nearby location as to not congest the area.

Town staff will post signs at the launch prior to and during that weekend to notify recreational crabbers that there might be some delay during that weekend.
