The Coupevile/Port Townsend Ferry route is currently out of service due to issues with the steering/rudder system on the Salish.
Six sailings were cancelled Wednesday evening after the ferry experienced issues on the No. 1 rudder, said Marta Coursey, spokeswoman for Washington State Ferries.
Crews were called in early this morning to complete sea trials, she said, and the vessel was cleared to sail.
It completed the 6:30 a.m. sailing before experiencing issues on the No. 2 rudder.
“We are now sea trialing the vessel again after making additional modifications,” Coursey said.
All but the 6:30 sailing this morning were cancelled so far.
