Members of the Coupeville Lions Club is hosting its annual event that provides some help to high school seniors heading to college.

The ninth annual Lions Club Scholarship Auction and Dinner takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Oak Harbor Elks Lodge.

Tickets cost $35 per person and the event includes a meal prepared by the Elks and served by National Honor Society students. People attending the dinner can bid on a delicious selection of desserts prepared by Lions Club members, their spouses and friends.

In the eight years they have produced this event, nearly $150,000 has been raised and awarded to furnish a variety of scholarships to qualified Coupeville High School seniors.

Auctioned this year will be a weekend in Whistler BC, a number of local get-aways, catered dinners, spa experiences and more.
