Friends, neighbors, families and visitors are welcome to join the 13th annual community Thanksgiving potluck Thursday, Nov. 24, at the Coupeville Recreation Hall on the corner of Alexander and Coveland. A traditional spread will be served buffet-style from noon until 2:30 p.m. or until the food runs out.

Turkey and ham are provided by the organizers, while the rest of the menu is up to those who attend. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase a favorite family recipe or try something new. No need to sign up in advance; just plan to bring a side dish or dessert.

The community Thanksgiving is a smoke-and alcohol-free event that just gets better every year. Why sit home alone, fix a huge meal for a few or dine out in a restaurant when you can spend the holiday with like-minded folks in a convivial atmosphere … and stuff yourself into the bargain? The community feast is free, fun and friendly. Make a new tradition.
