Ignite offers an online academy that emphasizes health sciences, 21st century business, technology, engineering and digital media. Ignite officials want to start one school in Oregon and one school in Washington.
The Central Whidbey school district traditionally struggles to offer a wide selection of career-oriented classes because of the small number of students enrolled.
