Abraham Leyva Elenes scored two goals to help the Coupeville High School soccer team to a 3-3 tie with host Friday Harbor Monday, April 21.
Sean Donley drilled the other score for the Wolves, who defeated Friday Harbor (0-11-1) 3-0 in the season opener March 18.
“It was a fairly even match; Friday Harbor was improved from our first game,” coach Kyle Nelson said. “It was good to get a positive result after our difficult week last week.”
The nonleague tie helped Coupeville break a three-match losing streak.
Now the Wolves (3-6, 4-6-1) return to Cascade Conference play, hosting Lakewood (2-5, 2-6-1) at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22.
Lakewood nipped the Wolves 2-1 April 1.
