A benefit dance to help save an historic house is being held at Crockett Barn Friday.

The “Haller House Benefit Barn Dance” will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Jan. 22.

Coupeville-based nonprofit Historic Whidbey is hosting the event. Tickets are $65, which pays for the music and dessert.

Proceeds go toward the purchase and restoration of Coupeville’s 1866 Haller House on Front Street. Historic Whidbey is trying to buy the home and transform it into a Territorial Heritage Center.

“Island Contraband” will be performing. They are a group of select Whidbey Island musicians who specialize in bluegrass and Contra dance music.

Crockett Barn is located at 1056 S. Crockett Farm Road in Coupeville.
