Friends of Ebey’s, in partnership with the Pacific NorthWest Art School, is selling a signature holiday ornament this year depicting iconic imagery of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve.

The ornament features a scene from the doorway of the historic Ferry House looking out onto Ebey’s Prairie created by artist Rick Lawler.

A contest was held to find the winning artwork and many submissions were received by local artists.

Lawler won a cash prize of $1,300 for his winning entry.

The 2015 ornament is the first of the Friends of Ebey’s Signature Ornament Collection and comes in a red velvet gift bag.

The cost is $20 and ornaments can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 during the Allied Art School Holiday Art Sale at the Coupeville Rec Hall. Proceeds from ornament sales benefit Friends of Ebeys and the art school.
