Ena Mae (Lang) Robb, 65, of Thornton, Colo., formerly of Oak Harbor, passed peacefully into the arms of God, July 13, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ena Mae was born to Harry and Ruth Lang, July 4, 1940 and was raised in Oak Harbor. She is survived by a loving husband, Joe, and her five children, Jarel, Jennifer, Eric, Jeffrey, and Julie, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister, Nancy and brothers Ken and David.
After graduating Oak Harbor High School, Ena Mae married the future father of her children and lived in various parts of the United States. She gained her independence in 1988 and began to flourish in discovering the life she had yearned to learn about. Ena Mae took up hot air ballooning and attended night classes when something would strike her eye. She approached life with the wonderment of a child and enriched herself with discovery. Always enjoying gardening, Ena Mae also found the love of traveling. She made several trips to Europe and enjoyed taking cruises. She especially savored seeing the gardens of the world. Her last trip before her illness was to Juarez, Mexico to help build a house for the needy as she also lived to help others. She gathered friends far and wide. Ena Mae met her soulmate, Joe, and they were married in 1997. Their annual pumpkin carving party was a tradition and they built a happy life together. They both held family as a strong value in their marriage.
Her wish was that a memorial gathering would take place at the annual Lang Family reunion held at the Gun Club, 14933 Josh Wilson Road, Burlington, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Denver Botanical Gardens.
