How proud our community is that we have the Navy here. We were privileged to be selected as a host family for three sailors for Thanksgiving dinner. Mark, Brandon and Josh joined us for the day, and what a fine day it was. They had come straight from boot camp three weeks ago with Mark and Brandon from the Great Lakes and Josh from North Carolina. Their families would be proud to know that they have raised fine young men. Two were 18-years-old and one was 19-years-old, and all were well-mannered, respectful and enjoyable to spend time with.

We exchanged phone numbers so they can join us on our boat for fishing trips in the future, as they will be spending their time on Whidbey Island, and we felt like new friendships were made. 

We also wish to thank Brain Dale and his helpers for coordinating the efforts between sailors and families. The Navy and commanding officer should be proud of these fine young men who will be representing the United States and serving our country.
