Sarah Felger is the newest addition to the Whidbey News-Times’ advertising department staff.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Felger also lived in Pensacola, Fla. before she moved to Whidbey Island with her family in 1985. Her dad was stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station as an EA-6B navigator.
An Oak Harbor High School class of 1994 graduate, Felger received a degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice from Chapman University in 2007.
Although she’s lived off-island for short times after her initial move to Whidbey, she’s never stayed away for long.
“I always seems to be coming back,” she said.
Felger coached competitive and recreational gymnastics for 13 years on the island and most recently taught at the former Academy of Dance on Pioneer Way.
In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking, rollerblading and spending time with her 7-year-old son, Alex.
