Frank Cinegran, 75, died Feb. 9, 2006 at Whidbey Island Manor after a short illness. He was born July 4, 1930 to Samuel and Elizabeth Cinegran in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Frank grew up in Redwood City, Calif., and graduated from Sequoia High School. After high school Frank joined US Navy. He served during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Guam for part of that time.
Frank married his sweetheart Lilah for an all too short union. She preceded him in death in 1968, leaving Frank to finish raising his two girls.
Frank was known for his great sense of humor and his fabulous cooking. It has been said that he should have been a professional chef. He loved Oak Harbor; he called it “my Tahoe.” He was a loving father and grandfather.
Frank leaves daughters Melissa Walker and Lisa Webb, both of Oak Harbor, along with six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two “grand dogs” that he loved very much (Laynie and Raven).
At the request of the family there will be no services held at this time. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers or other memorials, donations are made to the Frank Cinegran Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 836 Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277. Arrangements were entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel.
