Girl Scouts to start pushing up Daisies

Girl Scouts is organizing new Daisy level troops in Oak Harbor for girls who will be starting kindergarten or first grade in the 2008 school year.

Girl Scouts is organizing new Daisy level troops in Oak Harbor for girls who will be starting kindergarten or first grade in the 2008 school year.

Parent information and registration meetings are scheduled on Saturday, May 10, from 3 to 4 p.m. or Wednesday, May 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Oak Harbor Scout House located at 759 SE 4th adjacent to Neil Park.

Girl Scout Daisy troops are the first step in Girl Scouting with age appropriate activities for girls in kindergarten and first grade. Adult volunteers are also needed to help as troop leaders and in other roles to support the girls. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to call or email in advance for additional information.

Girl Scouts is open to all girls from kindergarten through high school with the mission of helping girls build courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.
