According to a recent NBC/WSJ poll, 72 percent of Americans support a government-administered health care option as a part of current reform efforts. In President Obama’s proposed plan a strong public health insurance option would be available to anyone who wants it. If you like your current plan, however, you can keep it.

In order to truly control costs and compete with private insurance plans, a public option must be available nationwide. People tell me, “I don’t want a bureaucrat standing between me and my doctor.” Well, right now you have an insurance agent standing between you and your doctor. It’s time for real reform of our health care system.
