Habitat for Humanity of Island County is seeking low-income people to apply for housing.
There will be three application meetings in July. All interested applicants must attend one of those meetings to receive an application.
The primary objective of the program is to provide housing that is simple, decent, affordable to purchase and easy to maintain.
The meetings take place on the following dates:
• Thursday, July 8, 7 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 Highway 525.
• Thursday, July 15, 7 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 1050 SE Ireland St.
• Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 1050 SE Ireland St.
Families are selected on the basis or their need for housing, their ability to make payments on an affordable mortgage, and their willingness to be active partners with Habitat in accomplishing the mission to provide decent housing to low-income families in Island County.
During this round of applications, Habitat for Humanity of Island County is accepting families for homes in North Whidbey and South Whidbey.
