Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens in Greebank celebrates the Beauty of Nature with the traditional Mother’s Day Concert featuring award-winning performer and composer, Harper Tasche.
Tasche has earned a unique and prominent place in the folk harp world. His ground-breaking artistry with cross-strung and small harps has extended the horizons of harp players, teachers, and harp builders, as well as general audiences, throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad.
Meerkerk Gardens’ spring flower show is in peak bloom now through May. Spectacular rhododendrons, majestic magnolias and glistening cherry trees await your arrival.
Stroll through the ten acre blossoming woodland gardens to the “Gazebo on the Green” for an afternoon concert, May 10 from noon to 4 p.m. The cost of the concert and entry to the gardens is $12 this day. Children under 16 are admitted free.
Attendees are invited to bring their own picnic lunches and beverages, folding chairs or lawn blankets. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are available at the door. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
Meerkerk Gardens is a not for profit organization. Proceeds from the concert tickets, Friends of Meerkerk memberships and plant purchases go directly to caring for this Whidbey Island treasure: ten acres of flowering gardens and a 43-acre forest preserve.
