Imagine life under true oppression | Letters

I have just learned of the egregious behavior by one member of the public at a recent county commissioner meeting who referred to a friend of mine as a “Nazi.” My friend happens to be German and lived most of her life under Nazi oppression. To the person who said this to her; imagine being stripped of all your freedoms. The freedom to attend government meetings. The right to have your letters printed in the local newspaper. The right to criticize government.

I have just learned of the egregious behavior by one member of the public at a recent county commissioner meeting who referred to a friend of mine as a “Nazi.”

My friend happens to be German and lived most of her life under Nazi oppression.

To the person who said this to her; imagine being stripped of all your freedoms. The freedom to attend government meetings. The right to have your letters printed in the local newspaper. The right to criticize government.
