Six members of the Island Flyers won gold medals at the Washington Trampoline and Tumbling Championships in Maple Valley Sunday, April 10.
The state title winners led a dominating performance by the Flyers, who are based out of Oak Harbor’s Leaps and Bounds Dance and Tumbling Center and coached by Cindi Quinn.
Thirteen Flyers took part, and all placed sixth or better in their respective level and age divisions.
Alyssa Monger and Tempy Troyer paced the Flyers by winning state championships in all three events: trampoline, tumbling and double mini trampoline.
Paris Quinn took titles in trampoline and tumbling and was second in double mini.
Kaia Crebbin captured tumbling while earning second in trampoline and third in double mini.
Tiana Myles was first in double mini, third in trampoline and fourth in tumbling.
Ava Vallencourt won the title in double mini and nabbed third in tumbling and fifth in trampoline.
Emma Suley finished second in all three events.
“All our girls did amazing,” coach Quinn said. “I am so very proud of all these girls. Their hard work and dedication to this sport has paid off in a big way.”
Next up is the regional finals in Las Vegas April 29-May 1, followed by the national tournament in Tulsa in July.
Based upon the state results, eight Flyers have qualified for the national meet: Paris Quinn, Crebbin, Vallencourt, Anisha Bains, Ryanne Knoblich, Harmony Wertz, Halia Stegeman and Catrina Ocanas.

Wertz: 5, tumbling; 6, trampoline, 6, double mini.

Knoblich: 3, trampoline; 3, tumbling; 5, double mini.
Cassidy Gore: 2, trampoline, 2, double mini; 5, tumbling.
