The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:
Sunday, Nov. 15
At 3 p.m., a caller reported three peacocks on Highway 20.
At 3:23 p.m., a Hunt Road resident reported that juveniles looking for “magic mushrooms” are trespassing in a field.
At 4:24 p.m., a caller reported that three peacocks took at residence at the Island County transfer station.
Saturday, Nov. 14
At 1:53 a.m., there was a report that a “watch out for ice” sign on Silver Lake Road was run over.
At 8:27 a.m., a caller complained that a large burn near Dugualla Bay “was polluting the air and will cause disease if anyone is walking in the area.” The caller wanted it extinguished immediately.
At 10:35 an Engle Road resident reported receiving an obscene phone call from a young girl.
At 1:12 p.m., a caller reported that a woman was walking in a bathrobe on Deception Pass bridge.
At 3:10 p.m., a caller reported turkeys “running back and forth” on Highway 20 near Waterloo Road.
At 7:25 p.m., a Crosby Road resident reported that a car ran into her well- head and she lost water to her house.
Friday, Nov. 13
At 12:29 a.m., a woman on Loerland Lane called 911 and said she can’t see, then disconnected the line. Upon recall, the woman said people were underneath her house and turned up her water heater.
At 5:03 a.m., a large limb was reported on NE Goldie Street.
At 9:08 a.m., a caller reported that a car, possibly an old sheriff’s car, was abandoned on West Beach Road and it is still posing a hazard to bikers and walkers.
At 11:36 a.m., a caller reported that pets in the backyard of a Yvonne Avenue residence were treated badly.
At 12:16 p.m., a caller reported that a woman on Devries Lane has trash all over her yard that’s blowing around.
At 12:51 p.m., there was a report of a group of turkeys on Highway 20 near Waterloo Road.
At 6:13 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported at Deception Pass.
Thursday, Nov. 12
At 1:55 a.m., a Lifeline operator reported that a 90-year-old woman on Loerland Lane said there are kids underneath her house where the heater is.
At 1:28 p.m., a caller reported that a pit bull with a history of aggression was running loose on West Beach Road.
Wednesday, Nov. 11
At 10:19 a.m., A caller reported that 20 cats are in a trailer on Oak Harbor Road and they keep having kittens.
At 12:19 p.m., a West Beach Road resident reported that her home was broken into. A chess set, pet supplies, furniture and other items were stolen.
Tuesday, Nov. 10
At 9:09 a.m., a woman reported that someone broke into her home on Homestead Road.
At 12:55 p.m., a Advance Drive resident reported coming home from a vacation and finding the back window shot out.
At 1:53 p.m., a caller reported that numerous stray cats were living in a trailer at an Oak Harbor Road trailer home park.
At 3:31 p.m., a Crockett Lake Drive resident reported that a man tried to extort money from her.
