Sunday, Aug. 30
At 1:52 p.m., a caller reported catching six kids spray painting graffiti on the walls of Fort Casey State Park.
Saturday, Aug. 29
At 2:36 a.m., a caller reported finding the caller’s father dead at home on Taylor Road. The caller said the man had been ill.
At 11:46 a.m., a Crescent Drive resident reported someone vandalized gardening items.
At 6:06 p.m., a caller reported that an injured cat was wedged in a fence on Oak Harbor Road.
Friday, Aug. 28
At 2:33 a.m., a man on Ridgeview Drive reported that his girlfriend was “going crazy and hitting people.”
At 12:47 p.m., a caller reported that an elderly woman with a walker was on Industrial Ave. and looked confused. She said she was there for a meeting.
At 6:30 p.m., a caller reported that an older man was staggering along Highway 20 near Waterloo Road.
Thursday, Aug. 27
At 2:10 p.m., a caller reported that an injured animal, possibly a mink, was on the side of Highway 20 near Northgate Drive.
At 8:44 p.m., the Anacortes police reported that they had a person in custody who is wanted in Island County. The Skagit County jail would not take the suspect, so the police wanted to meet a deputy on Deception Pass Bridge to transfer the suspect.
At 10:55 p.m., a Highway 20 resident reported that she was assaulted by her mother and stepfather.
Wednesday, Aug. 26
At 12:40 p.m., a caller reported that five turkeys were on the side of Highway 20 near SW Eagle Vista Road. The caller was trying to keep them from getting hit by a car.
At 1:42 p.m., there was a report that a postal vehicle was involved in an accident on David Lane.
At 11:37 p.m., a resident of Park Acres Drive reported that her boyfriend’s parents were harassing her.
Tuesday, Aug. 25
At 6:35 a.m., a loose horse was reported running around on Zylstra Road.
At 1:45 p.m., a broken water main was reported on Monroe Landing Road near Scenic Heights Road.
At 6:41 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle struck the Jet Java stand on Highway 20. No injuries were reported.
