The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:
Friday, July 25
At 11:25 a.m., a caller reported finding multiple needles and burnt cans on a driveway on Vineyard Lane.
At 2:58 p.m., a caller reported that someone keeps damaging his “marijuana conditional-use permit” sign on Edgefield Lane.
At 11:10 p.m., a caller reported that a man by a parked truck was screaming and acting crazy on Tidewater Road.
Saturday, July 26
At 6:28 a.m., a dead coyote was reported on Silver Lake Road.
At 8:10 a.m., there was a report that a thrift store on Ault Field Road was burglarized.
At 8:23 a.m., a Grateful Acre Place resident reported his concerns about a neighbor who believes that the Dutch Mafia and the county prosecutor work for him.
At 9:09 a.m., a Sunset Drive resident reported that two “intact” male borzoi dogs were missing.
At 12:13 p.m., a caller reported a safe that was stolen from an Ault Field Road thrift store was sitting in the woods.
At 3:23 p.m., a driver reported almost running over a man who was lying on Bercot Road. The driver stopped to ask the prone man if he was OK and he became belligerent.
At 7:05 p.m., a Patmore Road resident reported that she eating her dinner and saw three men carrying rifles and pistols walk by. Two of them were wearing hockey masks.
At 7:19 p.m., a Lake Drive resident reported an 18-year-old “kid” who was refusing to do anything with his life.
At 8:51 p.m., a Burma Road resident reported returning home to find the residence “trashed” and the doors opened.
Sunday, July 27
At 7:45 a.m., there was a report that a vehicle with a bullet hole in a window was abandoned at the Langley gate of the Navy base.
At 9:21 a.m., a Swantown Road resident reported that his dog attacked a fawn and the baby deer needed to be put down.
At 12:26 p.m., a traveling chiropractor reported that a man had a meltdown on Breezy Point Road.
At 12:58 p.m., a caller reported that a man driving on State Highway 20 on North Whidbey was hitting someone in the passenger’s seat and throwing things out the window.
At 5:17 p.m., a caller reported that squatters may be living in condemned houses near the landslide area on Driftwood Way.
At 9:13 p.m., a Harns Road resident reported that a suspicious, shirtless man drove up his driveway and took off when he saw him. The resident followed the man and spoke with him. The man said that someone was transmitting on antennas into his TV and messing with his head.
At 11:36 p.m., a Lawson Road resident reported that someone was in her crawlspace.
Monday, July 28
At 4:11 a.m., a caller reported that a man in a black trench coat and a bandana on his face was walking down Guemes Avenue.
At 1:32 p.m., a resident reported that grade school girl was playing in the woods near Ocean View Drive and heard a male say, “Oh, there’s children” and “get out of here.” The girl said the man had either rust or blood on his shirt.
At 6:25 p.m., a caller on West Beach Road reported that two men in their late 20s were running around in their underwear, drinking alcohol.
Tuesday, July 29
At 10:14 a.m., neglected llamas were reported on Cascade Place.
