Monday, Oct. 29
At 11:28 a.m., a caller reported that NAS Whidbey would be conducting underwater demolition drills in Crescent Harbor at 2 p.m.
At 3:27 p.m., a caller said a man who matched the description of a rape suspect was alone in the bar at Mitzel’s. The caller would report if the man left the location.
At 11:12 p.m., a caller on N Oak Harbor Street reported receiving a strange message on their answering machine. The caller said this might be a threat from a foreign person.

Tuesday, Oct. 30
At 1:52 a.m., a person said a man who had been drinking was trying to get in a house on Whitney Drive. The caller had gotten in a confrontation with the man at a bar earlier in the night.
At 8:54 a.m., a caller on SE Regatta Drive reported finding a rabbit head in a mailbox on Monday.
At 9:08 a.m., a concerned person said two men in orange vests were writing on clipboards at NW Second Avenue and NW Outrigger Loop. The caller was worried because no city vehicle was around.
At 11:31 a.m., a person brought a suspicious package to the fire department on E Whidbey Avenue.
At 12:29 p.m., a woman on SW Fourth Avenue said a white van was parked across the street. The woman said a month ago this same van had followed her husband and turned around at the base gate.
5:18 p.m., a caller said people in the back of a truck on SW Barrington Drive were throwing things in front of other vehicles.

Wednesday, Oct. 31
At 7:04 a.m., a resident of N Oak Harbor Street reported a pumpkin had been thrown through a vehicle’s window.
At 7:58 a.m., a woman called from a business on SE Fourth Avenue to complain that a man was hanging around the business. The woman was alone and felt unsafe. She said last week the same man had come in the business and asked for money.
At 8:56 a.m., a caller reported an Island Transit bus had been speeding in a 20 mph school zone on E Whidbey Avenue and NE Midway Boulevard.
At 8:58 a.m., a woman on SW Robertson Drive reported that all her pumpkins and other pumpkins in the neighborhood had been smashed.
At 10:14 a.m., a person at a business on SE Pioneer Way requested an officer take a report on a gun that was missing from inventory.
At 10:40 a.m., a caller on SW Putnam Drive reported pumpkins had been stolen and smashed.
At 2:49 p.m., a caller reported that a city garbage truck had hit a parked car on N Oak Harbor Street.
At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle theft from N Oak Harbor Street.
At 6:14 p.m., a concerned caller said two men in their late 20s were hiding behind a tree on SW Robertson Drive and SW Putnam Drive. One of the men had a silver tube about 5-feet long. When the caller asked the men what they doing, the men said they were there to protect people who get mugged.
At 7:46 p.m., a woman called from NE Barron Drive and said her husband had opened a bill and a white substance came out. The woman said the bill was isolated in a bedroom. The woman was advised to close the door and keep away from the bill.
At 8:29 p.m., a concerned caller reported seeing two dark-skinned men who could be Arabic driving two semi-trucks at State Route 20 and SW Erie Street.
At 8:34 p.m., a caller reported that Arabics with heavy accents were giving kids candy on SE Pioneer Way.
At 9:10 p.m., a parent on NW Cathlamet Drive said their children had come home from trick-or-treating and someone had given the kids what looked and smelled like loose tobacco in a small bag.
At 10:22 p.m., a person a SW Erie Street said their house had been egged.
At 10:34 p.m., a caller on SW Eighth Avenue complained of pumpkin-smashing.

Thursday, Nov. 1
At 12:01, there was a report of reckless driving on NE Regatta Drive and State Route 20. A caller said a motorcycle driver was popping wheelies down the street.
At 2:38 a.m., a caller on NW First Drive reported being awakened by someone screaming and then heard a single gunshot.
At 5:53 a.m., a mother on SW Castilian Drive had just gotten home from the emergency room with her son. The boy had opened the door and had been hit in the eye with an egg.
At 7:18 a.m., a person on NE Fourth Avenue reported a case of pumpkin-smashing.
At 8:39 a.m., a person on W Whidbey Avenue called about receiving suspicious mail.
At 12:13 p.m., a person on SE Pioneer Way said that two men climbed over a fence and onto NAS property. The caller said the men got in a black truck and drove away.
At 12:25 p.m., a person on NE Eighth Avenue said their vehicle had been spray painted.
At 3:52 p.m., a person called from a business on SE Barrington Drive to report that a man had brought in a jacket to be drycleaned and a small plastic bag filled with a white substance was found in a pocket.
