Three Island County Republican women are attending the National Federation of Republican Women 35th Biennial Convention in Orlando, Florida from Sept. 10-13.

Mary Jane Aurdal of Clinton is attending as a Delegate at Large. Aurdal is the 2nd Vice President of the Washington Federation of Republican Women and a member of the South Whidbey Republican Women’s Club.

Debbie Cunningham of Greenbank and Sandi Peterson of Oak Harbor are both attending as Alternate Delegates. Cunningham is Secretary of the South Whidbey Republican Women’s Club and Peterson, a member of the Republican Women’s Club of Oak Harbor and a District Director for the Washington Federation of Republican Women.

The Island County trio will join approximately 2,000 Republican women from around the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Washington, D.C. in Orlando. At this convention, the delegates will elect new officers to lead the National Federation of Republican Women for one two-year term beginning Jan. 1. They will participate in a variety of workshops including one all-day Campaign Training School.
