“An Oak Harbor man recently learned that watching a movie over at a female friend’s home can be dangerous – especially when the friend has a jealous estranged husband with an apparent anger control problem.The husband is now facing felony assault charges in Island County Superior Court that could land him in jail for a few months. Police say Robert Brock came to the door of his wife’s North Oak Harbor Street apartment Nov. 6. She reportedly lived alone since separating from Brock in months previous.Brock apparently became enraged that another man was in his wife’s apartment, lying on the couch and watching a movie. According to the police report, Brock pushed past his wife and straddled the man on the couch. Brock punched the man in the face many times and started choking him, stopping only when his wife called 911.Officer Larry Ferguson wrote in court papers that he arrived at the apartment to find the victim bleeding heavily from his bruised-up, swollen face. The man was taken to the hospital and needed three stitches in his upper lip, five stitches on his nose and five on his mouth.Ferguson wrote that the man said Brock had also assaulted him on a previous occasion, but he didn’t report it.Brock was charged with third-degree assault Nov. 9 and pleaded not guilty to the charge Nov. 17. “
