Oh them “Hot Doggers!” Them offensive “Hot Doggers!” Sure am happy they’re not (as another letter referred), “mushed vegetables!”
My personal air show every day! The roar and whine and the strain of the engines as they grunt and groan and bank and turn and the crew delights while training to fight and protect us.
The “gripers” can’t get a grip on things, choosing to hide behind their complaints to the Whidbey News-Times as their heroic “expert” analyses fall on the welcoming weak. I wonder, why are they here? Obviously, I must presume, to invade the beauty of Dugualla Bay with their disdain and distaste for what Neil Diamond would sing: “What a Beautiful Noise!” Indeed! I love it! Can’t wait to move to Dugualla Bay where I’ll get real shows and real noise and real people flying above with a lot of moxie, character, courage and — you know — all the rest that makes great people great.
I like to dream and fantasize that I’m up there with them, pulling Gs, approaching the break, preparing and protecting those who are offended and engage in name calling. “Hot Doggers.” Wouldn’t you like to be one (Ms. Miller)?
Those late nights when the engines howl and scream and spin up and down just to find that right protection and spot to touch down is just like perfected magic, except to those weak, crying babies born with, but deprived of, capable understanding and appreciation. What beauty, what taste of freedom, let it ring loud and let Neil Diamond sing! I love Dugualla Bay Noise!
Those voicing virtuous opines are righteous. Their whines are louder than the roar of the jets. But that is why the jets are there — so the criers can cry and the whimps can whine.
Let the singers sing! What a Beautiful Noise!
