A Level 2 sex offender moved to Hett Lane in Oak Harbor, the Island County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Jeovanni F. Camacho, 40, is considered a moderate risk to the community.

In 2009, Camacho was convicted of three counts of rape of a child in the third degree.

Camacho was a soccer coach in 2006 when he started sexually assaulting a female player, beginning when she was just 14 years old.  He befriended her family to gain access to the victim, telling the family he was “trying to help her out.” The girl’s parents attempted to stop the contact between her and Camacho, but he bought her a cell phone and continued to sneak into her bedroom.
