The Coupeville High School soccer team and Mia Littlejohn keep marching along, this time crushing host Chimacum 7-2 Tuesday, Oct. 4.

The win gives the Wolves six for the season, matching the best in school history with seven games still remaining.

Littlejohn, a junior, punched in two of the goals, giving her 21 for the season.  She already crushed the school single-season record for girls, which was 10. The pair of goals Tuesday pushed her past the boys record holder Abraham Elenes Leyva, who tallied 20 last spring, to the top of the list for all Wolves.

Kalia Littlejohn, Mia’s sophomore sister, and freshman Tia Wurzrainer also scored twice in the win over Chimacum. May Rose accounted for the seventh goal.

Mia Littlejohn registered two assists, and Wurzrainer, Lauren Bayne and the Renninger sisters, Sage and Avalon, had one each.

The victory helped Coupeville (4-1, 6-2-1) keep the heat on Olympic League leader Klahowya (3-0, 5-1-2).

The Wolves play three non-league matches before returning to conference play when Klahowya visits at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Coupeville plays Port Angeles (3-5) at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Mickey Clark Field.
