The Washington State Department of Transportation advises Whidbey drivers to take caution this weekend as the 39th annual Oyster Run in Anacortes attracts motorcyclists to island roadways.
The Mukilteo-Clinton and Port Townsend-Coupeville ferry routes will likely be in high demand on Sunday, Sept. 25, when the event takes place. Ferry users may want to plan for longer wait times at terminals.
Drivers should exercise caution and be on the lookout for motorcycles on the road this weekend. Island County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol will have extra patrols out for the event.
