Saturday, Jan. 23

At 2:12 p.m., a caller reported that a patient was giving nurses a “hard time” at the hospital.

Sunday, Jan. 24

At 6:21 p.m., a resident reported driving on North Main Street and hitting an unknown object or animal that left two large dents in the car.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

At 7:42 a.m., a caller reported that a man was sleeping in a car on Northwest Coveland Street.

At 12:14 p.m., a caller asked for law enforcement to respond to the Island County commissioner’s hearing room. A meeting was “escalating.”

Thursday, Jan. 28

At 4:21 a.m., a caller reported that a patient who was held involuntarily at hospital was “getting in everyone’s face.” The patient left on foot, wearing a gown and scrub pants.

At 6:39 p.m., a caller at the hospital reported that nurses found knives on a patient. The caller wanted to know if they have the legal right to search a patient’s belongings.

Monday, Feb. 8

At 7:52 p.m., a driver reported that a Toyota Camry was driving very slowly on the highway. A line of at least 20 cars was behind it.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

At 11:24 a.m., a caller reported that a Hyundai was speeding at more than 90 mph on the highway and nearly caused a head-on crash.

Wednesday, Feb. 10

At 1:55 p.m., a caller reported that a van with an exempt plate parked on North Main Street seemed suspicious.

At 7:21 p.m., a hospital employee reported that a citizen said a Whidbey General Hospital “supply van” was driving recklessly but the plate number given didn’t match any plates on hospital vehicles.

Thursday, Feb. 11

At 9:23 a.m., a caller at a Northwest Front Street store reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill.

At 1:31 p.m., a Krueger Street resident reported receiving calls from a suspicious person who said the IRS was filing a lawsuit against the resident.

Friday, Feb. 12

At 8:12 a.m., a Northwest Sixth Street resident reported that she needs a marshal at her home because she is worried for her protection when the lawn maintenance man comes.

At 9:12 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle drove over construction materials and destroyed them on Northwest Krueger Street.

Saturday, Feb. 13

At 6:51 p.m., a caller reported that a car was driving around the soccer fields on Ebey Road.
