Maui Avenue gate at Seaplane Base closes during Holland Happening parade

The Maui Avenue gate to the Seaplane Base at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island will be closed until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. The closure allows for safe staging of the parade that is part of the Holland Happening parade lineup, according to a release from NAS Whidbey.

The Maui Avenue gate to the Seaplane Base at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island will be closed until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

The closure allows for safe staging of the parade that is part of the Holland Happening parade lineup, according to a release from NAS Whidbey.

Holland Happening, the festival that celebrates Oak Harbor’s Dutch heritage, takes place April 27-28.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on April 27.

Torpedo Road gate will be open for access to the Seaplane Base during the time that the Maui Avenue gate is closed.
