Naval Air Station Whidbey Island’s training schedule for Outlying Landing Field in Coupeville has changed for this week, according to a news release. Field carrier landing practice is now scheduled from mid-afternoon into the evening on Wednesday and Thursday, and early and late afternoon on Friday. This type of training is also scheduled at Ault Field on Friday evening.

There will be other operations out of NAS Whidbey Island occurring throughout the week as well, however aircraft carrier flight training involves lower altitude flight in close vicinity to the airfield.
