You might hear some loud explosions Wednesday in Crescent Harbor.

The Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Detachment Northwest plans to conduct explosive demolition in the water from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Their work is expected to cause water plumes and small ground vibrations.

A Whidbey Island Naval Air Station spokesman said the operations should not pose a threat to people or property and the team takes appropriate safety precautions.
