City of Oak Harbor warned citizens today to reduce water usage due to the current emergency conditions at the wastewater treatment plant.

“It is necessary to drastically limit the amount of water entering the sewer system,” the alert said. “All residential and commercial customers are required to reduce water usage immediately.

“We anticipate this to be ongoing throughout the evening.”
