Kids on both ends of Whidbey Island will be able to get a free lunch for much of the summer as part of the Food Lifeline Kids Cafe program.
As part of the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program, meals and snacks will be available at no charge to children 18 years of age and younger attending programs in Oak Harbor and Langley.
The free lunch program in Langley, occurring in partnership with Good Cheer Food Bank, will go from Monday through Friday June 16-Aug. 29 at Langley Park at Second and Anthes. The lunch period is 12:30-1:30 p.m.
In Oak Harbor, the program will be offered Monday through Saturday from June 17-Sept. 3 at Flintstone Park at S.E. Dock St.
SPIN Cafe will be partnering in the program, which will start at noon and last until 1:30 p.m.
