“The same pitcher, Nick Alexander, who pitched a no hitter against us last week threw today and we chased him in the fourth inning after getting seven runs on nine hits,” OHHS head coach Jim Waller said. “Also, our two pitchers, Mark Radach and Jeff Lang, who gave up 13 runs in three innings against Stanwood the other day did a good job today containing their very potent lineup.”

Oak Harbor was led at the plate by Chris Valencia, who was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, Marshall Lobbestael, who was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI and Ernie Martinez, who was 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Oak Harbor started the tournament off with a 7-3 loss to Lake Stevens on Friday.

The Wildcats battled back for their first win of the Legion season 11-3 over Coquitlam on Saturday, followed by another win, 8-6, over the host Marysville team on Sunday.

Oak Harbor is now 3-5 in non-league play.

They started league the league season yesterday at Ferndale and host the same Ferndale team, at 6 p.m., tomorrow, June 2 at the OHHS baseball field.
