The Northwest Board of Basketball Officials is seeking members to referee high school and middle school boys and girls basketball.

Those interested in officiating are invited to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at LaVenture Middle School, 1200 LaVenture Road, in Mount Vernon.

“High school basketball needs more men and women, ranging from college students to retirees, who will help us enhance the quality of play while supplementing their income,” Ron Van Soest, NWB president, said. “All new officials receive training and mentoring.”
