Field Carrier Landing Practice operations for aircraft stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station are scheduled at the Outlying Field Aug. 11-15.Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 11, 13 and 14, FCLP training at OLF Coupeville is scheduled late at night.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12,FCLP training is scheduled to begin at OLF Coupeville in the afternoon and continue late into the night. FCLP training at OLF Coupeville is also scheduled to begin late in the morning on Friday, Aug. 15, and conclude early that afternoon.
The FCLP tempo is driven by the Fleet Replacement Squadron student training curriculum and pre-deployment carrier EA-6B Prowler and EA-18G Growler squadron flight qualifications. It can also fluctuate due to weather, maintenance and operational requirements.
