One lane of traffic over Deception Pass Bridge will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. tonight.
A contractor was unable to perform work originally schedule at Deception Pass Bridge for Monday night due to equipment issues, the state Department of Transportation reported.
The contractor is working for the the City of Oak Harbor to replace hangers that suspect water mains under the bridge. Crews will be perform “pre-project work” tonight, the state reported.
Nighttime work will resume Oct. 11 and continue for three to four weeks; the work will occur Monday through Thursday. One lane of traffic will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. during the work.
