Halloween Day, customers walking into Carla’s Shear Inspiration Salon on SE Bayshore Drive in Oak Harbor found themselves walking into Greek mythological times. Aphrodite, the Sirens and even Medusa were among the personas taming locks that day. Every year, the girls at the salon dress up and choose a different theme in which to deck out the salon. This is the second year salon owner Carla Dozier and her squad of hair artists have collected donations with votes. Last year they gave more than $400 to local Red Cross and this year they were able to raise $350 for CADA. Surely everyone can’t wait until next year’s hair-raising fund-raising event.
