I am the daughter of a retired military man who passed away. I was born and raised here on the island and I’m finding it very, very hard to believe that as civilians we can hardly find any place to rent.

While I have great respect and admiration for the military as I come from a military family, I am also finding it offensive that places are restricting apartments and hotels to military members only.

I understand that apartment owners and homeowners want guaranteed rent, but that kind of leaves the rest of us out in the cold.
