Oak Harbor High School soccer team lost 4-1 to fifth-ranked Shorewood Tuesday, April 16, in Shoreline.
The Thunderbirds built a 4-0 lead before Oak Harbor’s Gavin Stewart scored with seven minutes left in the match.
Wildcat coach Brian Thompson, whose team is a battle for a playoff spot, said, “With six games left in the season, we need to find a way or a reason to win.”
He said one thing that helps is the support of Oak Harbor fans. The Wildcats (3-5, 4-6), third place in the Wesco North, play a critical match at second-place Marysville Getchell (4-4, 4-7) at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, then host Arlington (0-7-3, 0-8-3) in a nonleague match at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20.
