For the second time this season, the Cedarcrest High School volleyball team shutout Coupeville 3-0, this time Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Duvall.

The Wolves (0-8, 1-9), who are still looking for their first Cascade Conference win, return home after a four-match road trip to face Granite Falls (1-7, 1-7) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. The Tigers picked up their first win of 2013 by stopping Sultan 3-0 Tuesday.

Cedarcrest, according to Coupeville coach Kirsty Croghan, “ran a quick offense and we just could not find an answer for it.”

Bree Messner collected four kills and was good on all eight serves to lead the offense. Defensively, she was 17-for-18 in serve receive and 16-for-19 on defensive chances.

Hailey Hammer notched three kills, hit 5-of-6 serves and was 7-for-8 on defensive.

Amanda Fabrizi was 21-for-26 on serve receive and 17-for-21 on defense.

Haley Sherman finished 8-for-9 in serve receive, and Sydney Autio dished eight assists while going 66-for-75 setting.
