Oak Harbor High School student Marjorie Rouse is Rotary Club Student of the Month. During a meeting of the Rotary Club of Oak Harbor, Oak Harbor High School Principal Dwight Lundstrom introduced Rouse, the first recipient of the award.
Rouse, a senior, was selected because of her achievements in Naval JROTC, where she is a platoon commander. She is also the captain of the Air Rifle Shooting Club and competed in a national shooting competition this year, finishing second in two categories. Rouse said she is looking to matriculate at Texas A&M University after high school because of its renowned shooting team.
