No injuries were sustained in a Clinton fire that consumed a small shed the night of June 28.

South Whidbey Fire/EMS responded to the burning building at approximately 9:02 p.m., according to Assistant Chief Terry Ney. Firefighters arrived at the Scatchet Head Road address to find an old shed, about 10 feet by 20 feet, ablaze.

Ney said the property owner had a fire ring close by, and the fire spread from the legal burn area to the cedar siding of the shed.

“It was on the ground when we arrived, and we put out the resulting pile of embers with a brush truck,” he said.

The shed was a total loss.
