The popular Soroptimist International of Oak Harbor Christmas Home Tour is on hiatus for 2015.

Last year’s tour included five North Whidbey Homes, with a $15 cost of admission. All proceeds from the tour go to Soroptimist to support local scholarship, health and abuse prevention programs to improve the lives of women and girls.

Tour organizer Kathy Doll said the organization would prefer not to disclose the reason for this year’s cancellation, but said that the club is already making preparations for next year.

The tour is scheduled to resume Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. Anyone who wishes to volunteer to show their festively decorated home in 2016 may call Doll at 360-675-6539.

For planning purposes, the list of homes must be completed by the end of September 2016.
