The meeting will cover several topics and updates including: Washington State Ferries’ activity update, WSDOT’s project report, Skagit/Island transit update, and information about state and federal funding.
The Island and Skagit County RTPO board makes decisions that affect the transportation systems and planning processes within Skagit and Island counties. They prioritize transportation projects and decide how and where to spend federal funding for regional projects. Skagit and Island counties will continue to work together to ensure that their individual transportation systems complement each other.
The regional policy board consists of state legislative representatives and elected representatives from cities, counties, towns, ports, tribes and transit agencies within Skagit and Island counties and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
