Several Oak Harbor athletes put in impressive performances but Lake Stevens High School won both the boys and girls track meets at Wildcat Memorial Stadium Thursday, April 2.

The 4A Vikings won the boys meet 95-50 and the girls meet 92.5-57.5.

Although Oak Harbor lost, Wildcats Dejon Devroe, John Rodeheffer and Jonalynn Horn were the stars of the meet.

Devroe won three individual events and a relay and Rodeheffer and Horn were double winners.

Devroe swept the sprints (100, 11.68; 200, 23.15; 400, 49.46) and joined Jared Gray, Josiah Welch and Mac Nuanez to win the 4×400 (3:33.7).

Devroe’s time in the 400 is the best among 3A runners this spring, and the relay time is sixth.

Gray finished second in the 300 hurdles in 41.78, the state’s eighth-best 3A time.

Rodeheffer won the 1,600 (4:23.22) and 3,200 (9:48.85, the state’s ninth-best 3A time). Earlier this spring, he ran the 1,600 in 4:20.94, the state’s third-best 3A time.

Tyler Adamson placed second in the shot put with a 50-01.5, a personal best by four feet and the state’s sixth-best mark.

Horn led the Oak Harbor girls with wins in the 1,600 (5:28.41) and 3,200 (11:31.44). The 3,200 time is seventh-best in the state.

Claire Anderson won the high jump; her mark of 5 feet is tied for ninth in the state.

Other winners for the Oak Harbor girls were Hayley Lundstrom (long jump, 15-10) and Kaylee Lamb (shot put, 32-04).

Oak Harbor and Meadowdale go to Marysville Getchell at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16.
