Strongly urge against Burger King move | Letter

The latest move by Burger King is not in the best interest of this country or the hard working citizens of this country.

Editor,

The latest move by Burger King is not in the best interest of this country or the hard working citizens of this country. If anything, it is affront to common interests of the country.

These very large corporations, in their decision to move their headquarters to another country to avoid paying taxes, is shameful.

Burger King, through their outlets in this country, will still get to enjoy benefits but not pay anything toward enjoying those benefits.

I urge and strongly encourage a boycott of Burger King. I also urge our federal elected representatives to put legislation into place to prevent these corporate type of actions from happening in the future.

I will echo what President John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

This includes Burger King and other corporations.
