Detectives are looking for a 31-year-old man who was allegedly involved in a Aug. 6 home invasion attack on South Whidbey, according to the Island County Sheriff’s Office.
Shawn Poolman is wanted in connection with the burglary and felony assault. He may be hiding out in the Oak Harbor area, the sheriff’s office reported.
Four people forced their way into a South Whidbey home and attacked the people inside with baseball bats and clubs. Several of the occupants were injured. One victim is at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett after suffering head injuries and a broken jaw, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
The victims and witnesses identified two of the suspects as Shawn Poolman and Steven Poolman, the press release states. Steven Poolman was taken into custody and appeared in court over the weekend.
Shawn Poolman is described as a white man, five-foot-seven, 186 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.
